My partnership with Smile, A.K.A, Ebony, is fairly new! He came to me through the donation program that is a part of Lendon Gray's Dressage4Kids. Ebony warmed my heart when I first saw him, and truly made me smile! The first ride went very well, and I got a good sense of how he liked to be ridden (light seat, soft hands!) I knew this would be a good partnership, and I am very excited for our future together!
I started riding Henry when I was twelve years old. I had been searching for another horse to ride for about a year since I had outgrown Emma. Andrea Landis, who started Henry in his Dressage career, was a fabulous teacher for Henry and I! We learned so much and really enjoyed the extra clinics she would host that accelerated our education. Martha Stover, Henry's owner, was so kind and supportive and allowed me to ride him. Henry and I taught each other so much, and although I have moved to a horse, I know Henry will happily continue being trained with Martha in Michigan.
Storybrooke, also known as Emma, was my first pony. I started riding her in Children's Hunter Classes for two years. For reasons I still do not know, Emma decided jumping was not for her. So I decided to start taking Dressage lessons, and I never looked back. Emma and I had a lot of fun, until I outgrew her and had to move on.
